On January 14, 2024, students from the "Future Leaders" program began an enriching journey for their China Immersion Project. Following a hands-on approach to learning, the students were divided into groups and tasked with conducting research on this year's crucial topic, biodiversity.
This year, their exploration led them to the bustling cities of Chengdu and Shanghai, where they engaged with local businesses and immersed themselves in unique cultural experiences. Over the course of one week, students gained a deeper understanding of both local and international businesses operating in China. By observing the real-world application of their classroom knowledge, they were able to gain valuable insights into the economic development across different regions of China. This exposure to the country’s diversity and inclusiveness broadened their perspectives, preparing them for future opportunities in cross-cultural environments, both in China and globally.
The program expresses sincere gratitude to the hosting companies for their invaluable contributions and to the alumni whose support greatly enriched this learning experience.
