Future Leaders Explore Business and Culture in Hangzhou and Shanghai

From the serene West Lake to the bustling Huangpu River, students from the Future Leaders Program at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, embarked on a week-long journey through Hangzhou and Shanghai that extended far beyond the traditional classroom experience.

During the trip, students immersed themselves in Chinese culture with visits to iconic locations such as the historic Lingyin Temple, while also delving into cutting-edge innovation through local company visits. Highlights of the trip included engaging with industry experts at leading companies such as Alibaba International AliExpress, Hangzhou City Brain, ROBAM in Hangzhou, and CMC Capital Partners and Meituan (Keeta) in Shanghai. These visits provided students with firsthand insights into how these pioneering organizations are shaping industries and society in China and around the world.

The journey also provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with Guanghua's distinguished alumni community in Shanghai. Each student group enjoyed a unique and unforgettable experience with different alumni hosts, representing fields such as finance, education, art, publishing, and retail. These interactions allowed students to form deeper connections with Guanghua’s extensive alumni network.

We are deeply grateful to all the companies and Guanghua alumni who extended their warm hospitality and provided such valuable learning opportunities to our students.
